Rachel Rowlands

Author, editor and proofreader

Rachel Rowlands is an author and freelance editor from North West
England, and holds a degree in English and Creative Writing. She’s
worked on hundreds of books for publishing houses (including some
of the largest in the UK; Hachette, Black Library, HarperCollins, and Penguin Random House), as well as for independent authors.

She is an Advanced Professional Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading. Rachel also writes her own fiction, and holds a degree in English and Creative Writing.

Rachel grew up playing video games like the Final Fantasy series, and devouring any book she could get her hands on. She is the author of The Darkest Curse, the first book in the Nethervale series of fairytale retellings, and loves writing fantasy stories with a dash of romance.

When she’s not writing or editing, she’s spending time with her husband and their cats, playing video games, or posting too much on Instagram.
